Traditionally a friendly people, Malawian are quick to welcome visistors to their country which shares borders with Mozambique, Tanzania and Zambia.  Visitors can explore the unspoilt wilderness in five national parks and many smaller game and nature reserves.  Lake Malawi (Africa's third largest lake) is home to the unique Lake Malawi National Park, where snorkellers and divers can discover the wonders of the Lake's aquatic world.

1. 2 application forms should be dully filled in English
2. Travel itinerary
3. 2 recent passport size photograph
4. Valid Passport (at least for 6 months with effect from the date of entry into Malawi)
5. Proof of means of support during the visit

VISA Information
To apply for a Visa, the Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of intended departure.

Visas are required nationalities of all countries except the following:

CATEGORY A:
Note: All countries listed in Category A, do not require a visa if they are intending to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days after which they will require a visa

CATEGORY B:
(b) Nationals of Commonwealth countries (except Cameroon, India and Nigeria) do not require a visa if they are intending to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days after which they will require a visa.

CATEGORY C:
(c) Nationals of Iceland, Israel, Madagascar, Nepal, Norway and San Marino do not require a visa if they are intending to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days after which they will require a visa.

Note: Visitors can extend their stay by obtaining a residence permit, valid for 6 months from date of entry.
